1. Who we are
This website is operated by Ignis Leadership Ltd, 35 Houseman Crescent, Manchester, M20 2JD (company number 16136014), referred to as "Ignis Leadership", "we", "us" or "our" in this policy.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions about how we handle your data, contact us using the details in Section 11.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under data protection registration reference ZB995062.
2. The data we collect
We collect personal data in the following ways:
- When you fill in the enquiry form on this site: your name, work email address, organisation, role, service-interest selection, and anything else you choose to tell us about your bid process or challenges.
- When you subscribe to our newsletter: your email address, first name if provided, and the source through which you found the signup page.
- When you book a call through Calendly: your name, email address and any details you provide when scheduling, handled directly by Calendly under its own privacy policy (see Section 6).
- When you browse this site: if you accept analytics cookies, we collect standard usage data such as pages viewed, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site.
- When you email us directly: the contents of that correspondence and any attachments you choose to send.
We do not knowingly collect any special category data (such as health or financial information) through this site, and we ask that you do not include it in the enquiry form.
3. How we use your data
We use the personal data described above to:
- Respond to your enquiry and assess whether our services are a good fit for your business;
- Schedule and hold calls or meetings you have requested;
- Send the newsletter you have asked to receive and manage your subscription preferences;
- Understand how visitors use this site, so we can improve it;
- Meet our own legal, accounting or regulatory obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
4. Our legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Legitimate interests: to respond to enquiries you have proactively made to us, and to understand and improve how this site performs.
- Consent: for analytics cookies and newsletter emails. You can withdraw newsletter consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in every edition.
- Contract: where processing is necessary to take steps towards, or to perform, an engagement you have asked us to provide.
5. Cookies and analytics
This site uses a small number of cookies:
- Essential cookies: used to remember your cookie preference itself. These are always active and cannot be switched off, as the site cannot function correctly without them.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4 and HubSpot): used to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, time on site, general location, device and referral source). These only load after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you click "Decline", or take no action, these cookies are never set.
You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser's cookies for this site, which will show the banner again on your next visit.
6. Third parties we use
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run this site and our enquiry process:
- Formspree: processes submissions from the enquiry form on this site and delivers them to us by email. See Formspree's privacy policy.
- Calendly: handles call scheduling if you book a call with us. See Calendly's privacy policy.
- Kit: manages newsletter subscriptions, confirmation emails, subscriber tags and newsletter delivery. See Kit's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics 4: provides anonymised, aggregated site usage statistics, only once analytics cookies are accepted. See Google's privacy policy.
- HubSpot: provides website analytics and will support contact and form management, only once analytics cookies are accepted. See HubSpot's privacy policy.
Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy and may act as an independent data controller or as our processor, depending on the service.
7. How long we keep data
We keep enquiry form submissions and related correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and, where a business relationship develops, for the duration of that relationship plus 2 years afterwards to meet our legal and accounting obligations. Newsletter subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, subject to any minimal suppression record needed to respect that choice. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings in Google Analytics and HubSpot, which we periodically review.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- Ask us to delete your data, in certain circumstances;
- Ask us to restrict or object to certain processing;
- Ask for your data in a portable format, where relevant;
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent (for example, analytics cookies).
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's independent regulator for data protection, though we'd welcome the chance to resolve any concern directly first.
9. International transfers
Some of the third-party providers listed in Section 6 may store or process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the provider's own compliance mechanisms, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent adequacy framework, to ensure your data remains protected to UK standards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change the tools we use or our legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here.
If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, contact us at admin@ignisleadership.com or write to us at 35 Houseman Crescent, Manchester, M20 2JD.
